MARKETING DATABASE ANAYLYST

Position is responsible for direct marketing and the maintenance, development, analysis and reporting of the customer database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of direct mail initiatives and database marketing programs
  • Develops, maintains and implements budgets for database marketing campaigns
  • Analyzes response rates and profit margins of all customer database programs, making adjustments to maximize profitability
  • Presents management with analysis of database and direct marketing efforts and makes suggestions on how to improve processes and procedures
  • Responsible for database list generation for all marketing efforts in conjunction with IT
  • Safeguards database and maintains the integrity and accuracy of data in the customer database
  • Works with Marketing Department Player Development, Hotel and Information Systems to develop and create effective and efficient campaigns
  • Development of automated reporting and correspondance as directed by Director of Marketing
  • Implements all email Marketing Campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Full-time position available - pay based on experience

Experience/Training/Education

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Marketing and/or Computer Science; or five years direct marketing and/or database management experience
  • Expertise in all areas of database management including data capture, pro forma development back-end analysis, programming and statistical modeling is preferred to successfully perform this job

Communication Skills

  • This position requires excellent communication and time-management skills

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent working knowledge of direct marketing, database programs and Casino Management System software
  • Adaptive to change with a positive attitude
  • Honesty and integrity

Other Qualifications

  • This position requires sitting for long periods of time (5 hours per day)
  • Must possess the ability to reach below shoulder level
  • Ability to use repetitive finger movement on computer and to use repetitive twisting of wrists or hands on computer
